The Shark NV360 is best viewed as a conventional corded upright with a useful escape route from upright-only cleaning. Its Lift-Away pod can be detached for above-floor work, giving a household one machine for carpets, stairs and furniture without making every task depend on maneuvering the complete body.

Shark lists a 25-foot cord, a 0.9-quart dust cup and a complete weight of 15.96 pounds. These specifications describe a substantial home vacuum rather than a lightweight grab-and-go stick. The cord removes battery-runtime planning, but outlet placement and cable handling become part of every cleaning route.

What the design changes

The detachable pod is the most meaningful feature for stairs. The user can position the motor and dust container separately from the floor head while working with an attachment. That arrangement can be more manageable than balancing a whole upright on a step, although it still requires carrying equipment and keeping the hose within reach.

Brushroll shutoff allows a change from carpet cleaning to bare-floor use without deliberately driving the brush on every surface. This does not remove the need to follow delicate-floor care instructions. Swivel steering also helps around furniture, but the dimensions and head width should be compared with the actual gaps in the home.

The practical tradeoffs

The included crevice and upholstery tools address two jobs that a floor robot cannot perform. They are useful only if stored where they can be found; establish a home for them rather than treating the accessory list as a benefit that automatically appears during cleaning. Check hose reach before committing to high shelves or curtains.

Shark documents a sealed system and HEPA filter. Those are product-design facts, not a promise about an individual’s symptoms. Filter care, correct assembly and keeping the dust cup from overfilling remain relevant to maintaining the intended airflow. Emptying a bagless cup is also a separate handling step to consider.

Buying judgment

The NV360 earns consideration for buyers who prefer corded operation and want above-floor flexibility in one machine. It is a less natural choice for someone who struggles to lift an upright or mainly wants quick kitchen pickups. Decide around carrying, outlets and attachment use, rather than comparing its wattage with cordless suction claims.
