A small-lawn choice

The Greenworks 25322 is a 40V cordless push mower built around a 16-inch deck. That narrow format makes sense for smaller lawns with gates, beds and corners where a wide mower can feel cumbersome. It also means more passes across a large open area. The right buyer values maneuverability and manageable storage more than the fastest possible coverage. Greenworks' current product page also uses the LM1604 kit label, so check the exact package and model identification when comparing older 25322 listings with current stock rather than assuming every 16-inch mower is identical.

Push means you supply movement

This mower is manually pushed rather than self-propelled. That keeps the operating concept simple, but the user supplies the effort to move it across the lawn. Slopes, uneven ground and grass resistance can change how manageable the job feels. The narrow deck is useful around obstacles, yet it does not remove the physical demands of the site. Someone with a larger or more difficult lawn should compare a self-propelled model and consider whether the additional drive system would be more valuable than a smaller storage footprint.

Two ways to handle clippings

The 2-in-1 system supports mulching and rear bagging. Mulching returns finely cut material to the lawn under suitable conditions, while bagging collects clippings for separate handling. Neither choice eliminates the importance of mowing at an appropriate interval and height. Greenworks specifies five height positions adjusted through a single lever, with a published range from 1¼ to 3⅜ inches. That is convenient for changing the setting across the deck, but the correct height still depends on the grass and season. A mower's adjustment range is a tool for a lawn-care plan, not the plan itself.

Battery and platform details

The documented kit includes a 4.0Ah battery and charger on the Greenworks 40V platform. A compatible spare can extend a session, but battery size and physical fit should be checked against the mower's enclosure; Greenworks notes that an 8Ah pack prevents the cover from closing. Runtime depends on grass density, height, moisture and operating conditions, so acreage claims are only a starting estimate. Battery mowing removes petrol handling, while blade care, deck cleaning and correct storage remain part of ownership. Confirm the replacement blade and local service route before buying older stock.

Verdict

Choose this 16-inch Greenworks configuration for a smaller lawn where narrow access and simple push operation fit the site. It is a coherent starting package when the included battery and charger cover the job, especially if other compatible 40V tools are useful. A wider mower is better for large open areas, and self-propulsion deserves attention when moving the machine is the main difficulty. Compare exact model and kit contents rather than just voltage. The mower earns its value through a good match to lawn size and layout, not by maximizing a headline power specification.
