REI Co-op’s Flexlite Camp Dreamer Chair

Most camp chairs fall into one of two categories: full-size models that collapse down into one piece, and smaller chairs with snap-together frames and a separate seat to attach. The latter is often smaller and more portable, with a low back and emphasis on packability. I was looking for a combination of the two and eventually landed on REI Co-op’s Flexlite Camp Dreamer Chair.

This chair perfectly blends the two styles, with a tall back, reclined angle, and collapsible frame that breaks down into three pieces for easy storage. I’ve had the REI Flexlite for four years, and the design, comfort, packability, and stability are just a few reasons why it’s my favorite.

How I Tested the REI Co-op Flexlite Camp Dreamer

I’ve had some version of this chair for the past four years, and have brought it with me on countless road trips and camping trips. I’ve used it as a perch for changing into camp shoes, for reading around a fire, and for hours working on my laptop. This chair is comfortable, stable, and easy to get in and out of. Needless to say, I know my way around this chair pretty well.
