The Waterpik Aquarius WP-660 is most appealing when a water flosser will have a permanent place beside the sink. Its larger reservoir and separate handle suit a stationary routine. The same arrangement is less attractive for travel or a bathroom where every appliance must be removed from the counter after use.
Waterpik specifies ten pressure settings, seven included tips and more than 90 seconds of reservoir capacity. The handle has a water on/off slider and a rotating tip. These features give the user several ways to adapt the physical routine without moving the entire base each time the direction or water flow needs to change.
What the design changes
The separate reservoir is a meaningful distinction from a small cordless unit. It reduces the need to refill during a session, but the base, hose and handle occupy more space. Measure the available area near a suitable outlet and consider where the hose will rest rather than judging fit from the base alone.
The included tips serve different purposes. Select and maintain them according to Waterpik’s instructions and any individualized dental guidance, especially for dental work or particular oral-care needs. More tips are not automatically better if most will remain unused in a drawer; relevant replacements are a more useful long-term consideration.
The practical tradeoffs
The one-minute timer and 30-second pacer add structure, while the two modes offer another control choice. These are convenience features rather than a diagnosis or a substitute for an established dental-care plan. The buying judgment here concerns the controls, reservoir and ownership arrangement, not a promise of a particular clinical result.
The WP-660 is specified for 120-volt, 60-hertz North American use. That makes it a poor default choice for international travel. The reservoir and water path also need regular care, so the appliance belongs with someone willing to follow the cleaning instructions rather than leave water and deposits unattended between sessions.
Buying judgment
The Aquarius is a good fit for a household that values a roomy reservoir, adjustable flow and a dedicated sink-side location. A compact cordless model may be easier for small bathrooms and travel. Choose the WP-660 when its countertop format is an advantage, and include tip replacement and regular cleaning in the ownership plan.
