The PETLIBRO Granary WiFi five-liter feeder suits an owner who wants to adjust a dry-food schedule from a phone and review feeding logs. The PLAF103 adds connectivity to a conventional hopper-and-bowl arrangement. Its useful distinction is flexible scheduling; it should not be confused with the camera-equipped Granary or an RFID feeder that recognizes individual pets.

The current US product page specifies the PETLIBRO app, support for both common Wi-Fi bands, and up to ten scheduled meals. Each meal can contain one to fifty portions, with a nominal volume of twenty milliliters per portion. The single-bowl configuration reviewed here avoids the separate splitter and two-bowl arrangement offered on the same listing.

What the design changes

Those portion numbers need translating into the actual food used at home. Different kibble shapes and densities produce different weights at the same volume. Dispense several trial portions, measure them and set the schedule around the pet’s established daily ration. Repeat the exercise after changing food; a saved setting is not a universal nutritional measurement.

The five-liter hopper is intended for dry kibble between two and fifteen millimeters. That gives the product a clear role and rules out wet meals. Before choosing a location, allow room to remove the lid, refill the hopper, reach the outlet and clean around the bowl. A feeder that fits tightly into a corner may be inconvenient to inspect each day.

The practical tradeoffs

Power comes from an adapter, with three alkaline D batteries available as backup. The batteries are an additional purchase. Treat backup power as one part of the arrangement, alongside checking that food remains and that the dispenser operates normally. An app record is useful information, but without a camera it is not a picture of the bowl or evidence that a particular pet ate.

Connectivity creates another ownership consideration: the household needs a compatible network, the correct regional app and someone comfortable managing the account and settings. Cleaning the food-contact parts and replacing the desiccant are recurring tasks too. This is a more involved purchase than a bowl, even when the schedule makes everyday feeding more convenient.

Buying judgment

The PLAF103 is a sensible choice for a connected dry-food routine where remote adjustments matter and the owner will calibrate portions and inspect the feeder. It is less suitable for wet food, camera monitoring or separating pets with different diets. Choose the exact single-bowl version for one feeding station, and judge the purchase by whether its app controls solve a real scheduling problem in the household.
