EGO POWER+ LB7654 Review: A high-output blower kit with adjustable everyday power
LB7654 is most useful when variable airflow matters as much as the maximum turbo specification.

Review basis: This is a research-based editorial review of manufacturer documentation and published product specifications, not a hands-on test. Ratings reflect documented features and buying tradeoffs; performance claims are attributed to their sources.
Buy control as well as output
The EGO POWER+ LB7654 is a cordless blower kit with a published maximum airflow of 765CFM and maximum air speed up to 200mph. Those numbers make it interesting for substantial leaf-clearing tasks, but the variable-speed control is equally important for ordinary use. A patio edge, gravel border and broad lawn do not need the same airflow. The best buyer wants enough reserve for heavier material while retaining control for lighter clearing. Maximum output is a capability to use when appropriate, not the setting that should define every minute of operation.
Air volume and speed describe different things
CFM describes the volume of air moved, while the speed figure describes how fast it travels under the manufacturer's specified setup. Both can help characterize a blower, but neither alone predicts performance in every pile of leaves. Dry loose material, wet leaves and debris caught in grass present different resistance. Nozzle choice also changes the working pattern. Compare the published figures with the area and material you actually maintain, then consider how the controls let you apply less force where scattering gravel or disturbing planting would create more work than it saves.
The kit includes the power system
LB7654 identifies the package with a 56V 5.0Ah battery and charger, whereas LB7650 is the corresponding tool-only designation. That difference matters when comparing listings and apparent bargains. The battery belongs to EGO's ARC Lithium platform, which can add value if other compatible tools are already in use. A new buyer should still consider the total weight with the battery attached and how long the tool will be held at a time. A large-capacity power system is useful only if the complete tool remains manageable for the planned session.
Runtime changes with the setting
Turbo output draws more energy than lower airflow, so the maximum-power specification and longest runtime claim should not be combined into a single expectation. Use the control to match the task and plan charging around the actual session. Cordless operation avoids a power cord and petrol-engine routine, but the blower still needs suitable storage and care for the battery and air intake. Noise also remains part of outdoor work even without an engine. Consider local use conditions and the people nearby when choosing when and where to clear debris.
Verdict
Choose LB7654 when you need a complete battery blower kit with substantial reserve airflow and useful adjustment for lighter tasks. It is particularly coherent within an existing EGO platform. A smaller blower may be easier to handle for a porch and short driveway, while very large properties may demand a different carrying format or power plan. Compare the kit designation, included battery and the weight you will actually hold. The strongest reason to buy is controllable clearing capability across your regular jobs, rather than treating the largest CFM figure as an automatic measure of the best tool.
