Choose the coverage style
A flat bench cover protects the seat surface while leaving the footwell open. A hammock adds a span toward the front seats. The right choice depends on the mess you want to contain and how often passengers share the rear row.

Rehearse the passenger changeover
Imagine arriving at school pickup or collecting a friend after a muddy walk. Can the cover be moved without blocking the seat belt? Is there a place for the dirty surface to fold? Will the dog's usual travel arrangement still work after half the rear seat is returned to passenger use?
Access to seat belts and child-restraint hardware must remain practical and consistent with the vehicle and restraint instructions. A cover is an upholstery accessory. Do not assume its straps provide the protection of a separately selected and correctly installed pet restraint.
