The dial provides a fantastic range of results, so it can make golden brown toast from white sandwich bread, and items that need more toasting, like bagels or thicker slices, can be browned in one cycle. It toasts evenly in all the slots, so you can expect every slot to produce similar results using the same setting. However, it tends to heat up if you use it for several batches in a row, which might lead to accidentally burning your bread.
